I graduated with my master’s degree in 2014 and began working in the public school system in Illinois. I then transferred to a hospital setting working with rehabilitation adult patients and children outpatients. During 2017, I began working for a special education cooperative in Central IL. I provided services to students, ages 3-22 years old, with severe-to-profound disabilities and/or with behavioral difficulties. I have significantly more experience working with students in the special education population who have more severe needs. I have worked with a variety of augmentative communication devices. I began working for UT in the Fall of 2023 and am fully enjoying this new experience.

Hobbies | Interests | Personal Factoids:
An interesting fact about me is that my brother is nonverbal and wheelchair bound and he is my inspiration as to why I chose my profession. He has taught me so much about life and about family dynamics. My hobbies include hunting with my husband, playing sports with my children, and reading books when I have free time.
